San Jose’s The Holdup have been blending reggae, hip-hop, pop, and indie sounds since 2006, when drummer Danny Flores and guitarist Tyler Scurti recruited vocalist Mike Garmany. Their debut Stay Gold hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts, and 2011’s Still Gold reached #2 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart. Reunited after a 2020 farewell, they bring their melody-driven grooves to Metro Music Hall.
