Nahko and Medicine for the People

Nahko Bear has fronted Medicine for the People since 2008, blending folk, rock, reggae, and soul into songs about healing, resilience, and collective restoration. His Native American, Puerto Rican, and Filipino heritage runs through albums like HOKA and TRENCHES, and the current seven-piece lineup of players brings trumpet and trombone into the mix. They have shared the road with Michael Franti, Trevor Hall, and Xavier Rudd.
